Apple may put ads in Maps

I came to Apple in 2020 after being a life long Android and Windows user. I was so tired of the bombardment of data requests and ads. I have been super happy in the years since my transition as my tech life is much calmer with all the reduced noise. Lately though Apple seems to be turning against the reasons I entered this ecosystem, in a quest for infinite growth (this is impossible, and will eventually kill any company that pursues it to the end). If it ever gets as close to being as bad as Android and Windows, I will leave and go to Linux and custom Android ROMs. It will be a pain to give up an ecosystem of devices that works so well together, but given I would be hassled by intrusions on Apple's side, I might as well at least keep my dignity and take the hassles of Linux/FOSS ecosystem instead.
